Introduction to the family of Martin & Jane (Cavanaugh) Scully
Martin & Jane (Cavanaugh) Scully were born in Queens County (County Laois), Ireland and emigrated to The United States circa 1854. Martin and Jane had at least six children, 2 of whom died in Ireland and 4 of whom emigrated to the United States. The two children who died young were Mary and Catherine Scully, I. Their oldest son, John Scully, married Catherine Dunn, a daughter of John & Margaret (Rohan) Dunn. Their other son, Patrick Scully, married Margaret Greene, a daughter of Edward & Esther (Lalor) Greene. One daughter, Anne E. Scully, married Patrick J. Conway, and moved from Connecticut to Rhode Island. Their other daughter, Catherine Scully, II, married James Ryan and lived in Meriden, CT.

The Scully-Greene-Dunn Family Association is currently working on a book entitled The Descendants of Martin & Jane (Cavanaugh) Scully of Ballyadams, Queens County, Ireland and Middletown, CT. A publication date has not yet been set for this book.
